Sri Lanka is well-known worldwide for its rich tea industry which began during British rule in the country during the 1880s. Tea from Ceylon has a reputation of being the finest in the world, and the industry is one of the leading source of foreign exchange earning to the country. At Sisili Trading, tea is valued due to the industry’s unique, applaudable features: production using uncompromising traditional methods and standards for worldwide consumption, a well-structured production and distribution system, development according to strict quality standards laid down and administered by the Sri Lanka Tea Board, unique tastes and aroma variants naturally created by the elevation of the land on which the tea leaves have grown, and freshness retained through handpicking.

Sisili Trading has partnered with Janrich Foods Ltd., to offer our clients highly specialized sauces. Janrich applies state-of-the-art technology along with high level of quality standards in its manufacturing process overlooked by a team of skilled professionals. Janrich’s wide customer base includes McDonalds, John Keels, Dominos, Delmege, and East West. The special sauces we offer under Janrich are ‘Kochchi’ and Pineapple, which have been developed to meet the taste of every customer, particularly with meat products and ethnic cuisines. The red and green colours of the sauces provide a unique mixture of hot and sweet tastes.
Spices
Working from the spice island of the South-East Sisili Trading ensures high quality Ceylon spices with their unique aroma and taste not only for clients in the culinary industry but also other industries such as perfume and cosmetic products manufacturing. A few locally grown and manufactured herbs and spices we pride ourselves with are cinnamon, pepper, cloves, cardamom, nutmeg and mace, ginger, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, chilli, lemongrass, curry leaves, and pandan leaves. Sri Lankan Spice Mixtures and Condiments
Sisili Trading is happy to provide clients curry powders, condiments and spice mixtures made in Sri Lanka. These produce have been time tested through generation to enhance flavour, aroma and to provide numerous health benefits. A few spice mixtures and condiments we provide are lemongrass oil, tamarind paste, roasted/unroasted Sri Lankan curry powder, and many versions of curry paste.
Coconut Products
Coconut-based products are another product variety that Sisili Trading prides itself in manufacturing inspired by its roots in Sri Lanka, the largest coconut exporter in the world. Rice
Rice is a heavily sought after staple food not just locally but also internationally. Over 1000 varieties of rice are cultivated in Sri Lanka, mostly organically grown in natural, sustainable conditions. Local traditional rice varieties have a beautiful aroma coupled with a higher nutritional value alongside a high content of dietary fibre needed for a healthy diet.
Kithul Products
Kithul jaggery and Kithul treacle or syrup (locally known as KithulPani) are two of the prized food products in Sri Lanka sourced from the fishtail palm also called ‘jaggery palm’. Fishtail palm (Caryota urens), a species of flowering plant in the palm family, is a tree native to Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar and Malaysia (perhaps in other areas of the Indo-Malayan region). Sisili engaged with local farmers to get quality Caryota urene (sap) in fresh forms to its production facility which then processed Kithul treacle under proper standards depicted by ITI ( Industrial Technology Institute) of Sri lanka. These trickles are packed in different size bottles as per customer requirement. Our kithul treacle is 100% natural and no sugar is added at any time of the production process.
